Please note if you purchased a kit that includes 4 or more tests, there will be x2 filters in the kit. Please purchase one DNA preservation buffer for each filter.
Includes both preservation buffer and syringe for inserting the buffer into your kit's filter.
If you received your kits more than 12 months ago, please purchase new DNA preservation buffer before sampling. DNA preservation buffer can degrade over time. To ensure best results, please do not use preservation buffer that is over 12 months old.

What will I receive?
Included in the price is the cost of:
- One sampling kit, to collect / store / transport your eDNA
- One report / set of insights per test (assay)
What’s included in the kit?
Collection, storage and safe transport of your eDNA:
Your kit contains all you need to collect*, store and safely transport your eDNA sample.
(*Tissue kits do not include the nets or traps you may wish to use to catch the organisms the kit is designed to contain.)
DNA preservation buffer: Preserve and protects the eDNA in your sample. (Preservation buffer for the Aquatic - DOT-NM kits provided by Dartmouth Ocean Technologies.)
One pair of gloves: If two or more people are using the same kit, please purchase extra sets of sterile gloves - one for each person sampling. (Additional gloves are not available from NatureMetrics).
Sterile bags: For safe transportation of your samples.

Please note:
Kits must be used within 12 months of purchase. After 12 months the preservation buffer (which protects the eDNA in your sample) can degrade.

One kit = one sample = one location. Kits can be used in one location only. Only one single latitude / longitude can be assigned to each kit.
Why are some tests only valid in certain locations?
Due to regional licensing restrictions, not all tests are available for every country/sampling location. Please ensure that you have selected the right product option before checking out.

All results will be available to view in your dashboard in the NatureMetrics Intelligence Platform
Multi-species metabarcoding results are delivered as a species level community report
Single-species qPCR tests are delivered as a targeted detection report for that species - presence v absence.
